Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, and this role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, integration and automation
- Experience with SQL and data pipeline development
- Experience with Databricks, Pandas, and modern data stack tools
- Hands-on experience with the disciplines of systems engineering, manufacturing, or hardware engineering
- Experience working with time-series data, sensor data, or operational data
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, scalable data solutions using Python, SQL, and modern data engineering tools, with a focus on data integrity and performance
- Excel at distilling multi-disciplinary, highly exacting and technically complex information into actionable insights for both hands-on engineers and leadership, leveraging advanced AI and LLM technologies to continuously improve both your efficiency and the sophistication of solutions you deliver
- Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of data solutions, from requirements gathering through implementation and ongoing support
- Progressively develop into a trusted technical liaison for your customer domain, building strong relationships with engineering teams, learning to speak their technical language, and developing the aerospace knowledge needed to anticipate customer needs and guide technical decisions
- Work effectively within our high-performing team, contributing to our culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, systems engineering or similar technical role
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work across technical disciplines
- Self-starter with ability to learn new domains quickly
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
