Requirements
- background in system engineering to effectively understand and integrate mechanical, optical, software, algorithm and assay elements
- demonstrated capability in systems engineering, software prototyping and machine learning
- broad set of technical skills, with the ability and desire to rapidly learn new skills as required by our research
- strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts
- experience with tissue diagnostics
- capability to work with mechanical, optical, software, algorithm and assay elements
Responsibilities
- designing, planning and executing research experiments on novel technologies, including hands-on troubleshooting of complex prototype systems
- collaborate and communicate with stakeholders and SMEs to develop, negotiate and document requirements, present research findings and provide technical recommendations
- software/algorithm prototyping, data acquisition/preparation/cleaning and developing/deploying/refining machine learning models
Other
- BS degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline required plus 4 years of related experience
- MS degree in a directly related discipline + 2 years of related experience preferred
- PhD degree in a directly related discipline and no experience required
- excellent communication and organization skills
