General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is looking for a software engineer to design, develop, test, debug and implement software that runs computers and technologies like smart devices, networking equipment, or machinery.

Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements software that runs computers and technologies like smart devices, networking equipment, or machinery
- Determines systems software design requirements
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
- Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures
- May participate in all aspects of software development, from detailed programming to high-level system design
- Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately
- Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures
Other
- Associate degree and 0-3 years' experience
- Systems Engineering or other Engineering degree required
- Must be able to remain in the stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
