Peraton is seeking Summer 2026 Systems Engineer Interns to join their Internal Research & Development (IRAD) program to support advanced research projects and contribute to an Agile software development environment.
Requirements
Familiarity with one or more object-oriented or scripting programming languages and exposure to software engineering processes.
Hands-on engineering experience through coursework and/or prior internships.
Exposure to Agile software development processes.
Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems, database technologies, web application. servers, and/or automated testing tools.
Familiarity with application or network installations, configuration, and/or administration.
Exposure to cloud computing technologies.
Responsibilities
support exciting, advanced research projects in areas such as communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile.
work in an Agile software development environment supporting areas such as requirements/story development, IT integration, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
obtain certifications in leading technologies to enhance your skills, such as Amazon Web Services.

available to work the duration of the ten weeks (June to August) and commit to working a minimum of 35-40 hours per week.
technical college students, actively enrolled at a four-year university, who will be rising into their junior or senior years. However, strong underclassmen may be considered if they have declared their major and have completed qualified coursework.
