Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking Summer Systems Engineer Interns to help their Systems Engineering (SE) team meet the technical performance requirements on complex system development programs and execute an interdisciplinary process to ensure that the customer and stakeholder needs and requirements are satisfied in a high quality, trustworthy, cost efficient, and schedule compliant manner.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge and familiarity with the use of Matlab and/or Simulink
- Coursework in some of the following subjects: calculus I/II, linear algebra, complex variables, probability & statistics, and differential equations
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the SE Managers, SE Technical Director, and Lead Systems Engineers on various systems engineering activities
- May use Matlab and/or Simulink software in the performance of assignments
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
- Gather and assemble data for engineers
- May be required to help in research in a particular field
- Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details
Other
- High school diploma or GED, and working on a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, written and oral
