L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to support the technical success of their products from a systems engineering perspective, working on the full systems life cycle development process.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Systems Engineering and the System Engineering Processes
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
- Experience with DOORS, Cameo suite of MBSE tools or similar, MS Visio
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
Responsibilities
- Exercise your passion for engineering by engaging in rapidly developing and deploying new and innovative, next generation solutions
- Develop hardware / software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, and verification / validation of technical products and systems
- Collaborate with other Systems Engineers, project leaders, and immediate Supervisor in the development of work products, including System Specifications, Logically Derived and Linked Requirements, Interface Definitions, System Diagrams, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Analyses, Trade Studies, and Detailed Designs
- Assist in the performance of requirements analysis and decomposition using DOORS and other system engineering practices
- Participate in / present at / develop and coordinate engineering artifacts at program design reviews to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure quality through adherence to the Quality Systems Manual, applicable Standard Work Instructions, and other standards invoked internally or contractually
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with individuals within and outside of the organization and have a strong drive and sense of ownership

- Ability to work under general supervision to set objectives
