Singular Genomics is inventing at the forefront of genomics with novel G4 benchtop sequencer and PX instrument for single-cell analysis and spatial biology. The company is looking for a Systems Integration Research Engineer 1 to support instrument development and subsystem characterization.
Requirements
- Experience in several of the following areas: fluorescence microscopy, micro-fluidics, bio-conjugation techniques, surface chemistry, DNA sequencing, programming language(s) and molecular biology.
- Strong experimental laboratory skills, demonstrated by work experience.
- Analyzing data using analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Python code, ImageJ)
- Characterizing and troubleshooting hardware and software performance.
Responsibilities
- Supporting instrument development and subsystem characterization.
- Executing experiments in biophysics and surface chemistry.
- Analyzing data using analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Python code, ImageJ), documenting and presenting results to the team.
- Characterizing and troubleshooting hardware and software performance.
- Preparing consumables and reagents for running experiments on a daily schedule.
- Completing documentation to support testing procedures including data capture, forms, logbooks, and inventory batch records.
Other
- BS or MS in Biomedical engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Desire and ability to work in a small interdisciplinary team to develop new technologies at a rapid pace.
