Sheetz is looking to support its Splunk Administration team by assisting with log data analysis, dashboard development, and system optimization tasks. This internship aims to contribute to the organization's cybersecurity and operational intelligence efforts by providing hands-on experience in data aggregation, monitoring, and incident response workflows within the Splunk environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- exposure to Splunk or other log aggregation tools preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Support the ingestion and parsing of log data from various sources into Splunk.
- Help monitor system performance and troubleshoot Splunk-related issues.
- Participate in the development and optimization of SPL (Search Processing Language) queries.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to identify and investigate anomalies in log data.
- Document Splunk configurations, onboarding procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and training materials for Splunk users.
Other
- The internship program will run from May through August 2026.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
