Tower Hill Insurance Group is seeking a Systems Product Owner to identify problems and opportunities, manage product backlogs, and deliver features aligned with corporate strategy to enhance operational efficiency and drive revenue growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and supporting business technology systems required.
- Working knowledge of systems, applications, web technologies, and architectures required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with SQL and in Scrum and Agile frameworks preferred.
- Familiarity with programming languages preferred.
- Understand and evaluate technical trade-offs in product development, balancing technical feasibility with user needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Use data and analytics to inform product direction, whether in the form of backend service metrics, customer usage, customer behavior, value stream mapping or other business metrics.
- Own and drive story/feature definition and priority based on defined initiatives.
- Use task/story estimates and known dependencies to construct project schedule and, when appropriate, to project the anticipated completion date.
- Represent the voice of the customer and provide a business perspective by informing agile teams of purpose, significance and value of backlog item during day-to-day development.
- Participate in initiatives that support the integration and adoption of AI/ML to enhance operational efficiency and drive revenue growth.
- Understand and evaluate technical trade-offs in product development, balancing technical feasibility with user needs and business objectives.
- Contribute to the business architecture and technical approach of new initiatives to ensure long term compatibility with business goals and objectives
Other
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Development, and QA teams to ensure a clear and shared understanding of strategic project deliverables.
- Primarily responsible for executing project management-related activities once a project has been approved, with both internal and external parties.
- Subject matter expert for up to three (3) business process areas.
- Champion Agile practices within the team, ensuring adherence to processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in external vendor tool vetting and drafting build vs buy business cases for non-enterprise level products or projects.
