Bowhead seeks a highly skilled Systems Programmer to design, implement, and maintain SQL databases, apply DISA STIGs, and ensure compliance with regulations in Dahlgren, VA
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
- Experience applying DISA STIGs to SQL databases.
- Knowledge of Git and specifically GitLab
- Firm grasp of SQL best practices in both PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Surface level knowledge of Redis and other NoSQL DBs
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases.
- Apply DISA STIGs to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor database performance and ensure availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
- Optimize database performance.
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure database security and compliance with regulations.
Other
- High School Diploma or Bachelors degree and three (3+) or more years of experience in SQL database administration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II compliant.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
