Migrating and managing large sets of customer and system-level requirements in IBM DOORS Next Generation, ensuring full traceability and decomposition across hardware and software systems for a novel aircraft program.
Requirements
- Proven experience with IBM DOORS Next Generation, especially in managing large requirement sets.
- Strong experience in requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification planning.
- Familiarity with aerospace systems, especially novel aircraft or automotive components.
- Ability to work collaboratively across hardware and software domains.
- Experience with safety-critical systems and understanding of safety allocation principles.
- Familiarity with both software and hardware systems engineering is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Migrate and manage large sets of customer requirements into IBM DOORS Next Generation.
- Perform requirements decomposition from high-level customer specifications to low-level system and component-level requirements.
- Establish and maintain traceability matrices across hardware and software domains.
- Support verification planning using IBM DOORS Next Generation’s verification module.
- Work with both COTS and in-house developed software components to ensure proper requirement allocation.
- Assist in converting spreadsheet-based requirement systems into structured, traceable formats within IBM DOORS Next Generation.
- Participate in documentation efforts and ensure all requirements are safety-allocated and properly categorized.

- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- This role is remote and highly collaborative.
