Rolls-Royce needs to lead a team of Systems engineers through the development, testing, and qualification of airworthy/certified engine control software for the F130 Electronic Engine Control, ensuring all program requirements are met and adapting a commercial engine for integration into the Boeing B-52 platform.
Requirements
- Previous Software/Systems lead experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) program
- Previous experience leading a diverse Software/Systems development team through lifecycle steps that include the design, test and qualifying of a software package
- Strong technical leadership, people management and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Perform component trade studies for new and existing hardware, create and review functional and physical interfaces, and generate analysis requirements for enclosure.
- Collaborate with electronics engineering to develop enclosures that jointly meet electronic and mechanical requirements and guidelines
- Support creation of detailed drawings and model-based definition and support project/manufacturing to procure conforming hardware
- Orchestrate Technical Review/Design Review and communicate solutions with the project/customer: develop technical presentations and associated technical reports in the delivery of solutions
- Assure compliance with applicable product certification requirements (i.e. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
