Boeing's Tactical Aircraft (TACAIR) Spares Engineering team is preparing for significant growth over the next 5 years and needs to shape the organization and empower the team to implement innovative solutions for accurate (executable) technical data and tools required to manufacture/produce military aircraft spare parts and assemblies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in an Engineering environment
- Experience in Aerospace Engineering
- Experience supporting Military/Defense customers
- Experience working with production and/or post-production engineering processes and procedures
- Experience with engineering in a post-production environment
- Experience in aircraft manufacturing working with assembly processes and procedures
- Proficient in navigating Boeing Engineering systems and translating technical requirements into actionable tasks
Responsibilities
- Technical execute-ability of Performance Based Logistics (PBL) spare part requirements during proposal development and execution of orders/contract
- Technical execute-ability of Defense and International customer transactional spare part requirements
- Manage and direct the engineering support to Program Management and Supply Chain for multiple Performance Based Logistics contracts
- Prioritize and dissect customer directed requests through internal and external collaboration
- Support the execution of the team’s statement of work by removing barriers that are impacting the completion of tasks or the delivery of parts
- Develop and execute spares engineering project and process plans
- Provide technical oversight
Other
- Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry or other technical degree
- Written and verbal communication skills, and must be able to effectively communicate with Senior Leadership
- Experience in project management for both small and large projects
- Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
- Experience leading or contributing to engineering change proposals for government contracts
