Texas Computer Cooperative (TCC) Student Application product development support to include requirements gathering, testing, and verification of software changes. Provide support and guidance to statewide TCC service desk on Tier 3 support issues escalated from the TCC service desk team.

Requirements

  • Three years of SQL experience preferred.
  • Systems analyst level knowledge of ASCENDER or other school student administrative software preferred.
  • Experience using helpdesk software and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Knowledge of Texas Education Agency Texas Student Data System (TSDS) data collections, Student Attendance Accounting Handbook guidelines, and school district student accounting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of multimedia methodologies, webinar applications, and video conferencing is desirable.
  • Ability to understand the entire scope of complex computer software applications.
  • Proficiency with standard functions within applications such as Microsoft 365/Google, (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software), e-mail, web browsers, and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Review functional and design specifications of software to ensure comprehensive understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Ensure software, documentation, and training deliverables meet functional and design specifications, requirements, and user interface standards.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plan.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects, and verify defect fixes.
  • Plan, develop, and execute system and regression tests.
  • Provide timely Tier 3 Helpdesk ticket resolution to regional ESC Consultants to maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Communicate stakeholder requirements for software maintenance, mandates, and enhancements.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree required in information systems, business, or education.
  • Three years of experience required in school student administrative experience related to registration, attendance, grade reporting, and scheduling.
  • Three years of experience using or supporting school student administrative software required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
