The company is looking to solve complex technical and business requirements in the context of Health Information Exchange by designing and implementing scalable integration architectures for healthcare interoperability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience architecting and developing solutions using Intersystems HealthShare products and/or other interoperability software, e.g. Orion, Health Catalyst
- Strong Knowledge of common technical environment technologies
- Understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, interoperability software and standards related to clinical data.
- Experience with EMR clinical workflows and how data from other systems can be integrated with those workflows.
- Knowledge of SAS products to support healthcare use cases, particularly in the context of an integrated platform utilizing multiple software solutions.
- Understanding of current and future State and U.S. Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy, Standards and Legislative Agendas from ONC/ASTP, HHS, etc.
Responsibilities
- Architect and configure a complex healthcare interoperability platform that utilizes multiple software solutions.
- Utilize best practices to author technical documentation related to interoperability architecture and assist delivery teams as these practices are implemented.
- Provide architecture recommendations for new solutions; support efforts to scope and define work effort, resource plans, and time/cost estimates.
- Collaborate with Technical Support teams to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions related to system architecture.
- Support development of API and Web Services-based solutions; implement authorization frameworks, e.g., OAuth, SAML.
- Participate in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of knowledge.
- Work effectively in a cross-functional team environment to support large scale data exchange programs used by thousands of provider organizations in North Carolina.

- Excellent facilitation and communication skills; ability to be concise, independent and provide defensible decisions in writing.
