New York City Transit's Department of Subways needs to improve documentation, communication, and workflow processes to enhance how operational and analytical teams share and use information, ultimately improving the efficiency and reliability of subway network service performance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document Subways team workflows to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Research, write, and edit procedures, user guides, reports, and training materials.
  • Translate complex technical or analytical concepts into clear, accessible language and visuals.
  • Design and produce presentations, dashboards, and internal websites that collate important information.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides.
  • Support project management activities such as scheduling, task tracking, and maintaining project files.
  • Organize and maintain digital repositories, shared drives, and knowledge bases.

  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should be able to work independently while being an active team player.
  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
  • Major(s) Preferred: Technical communication, information design, data analytics or information systems, operations management, urban planning, transportation, or related field.
