Gensler is looking to solve the problem of delivering functional and beautiful spaces for clients by hiring a Technical Designer to produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members.
Requirements
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programs
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator, InDesign, SPEXX a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver functional and beautiful spaces for our clients
- Provide project team coordination for finished plans, specifications, and material selections; ensure design intent is incorporated into the construction documentation
- Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of project
- Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Utilize 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
- 6-10 years of commercial design experience, ideally inclusive of all phases through construction administration
- Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
- A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
