Electronic Arts is looking to hire a Technical Game Design Intern to help prototype and refine gameplay features for the next installment of the Jedi franchise, aiming to create groundbreaking games with talented developers.
Requirements
- Understanding of game engine tools and pipeline such as Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.
- A desire to learn and comprehend the game design process, specifically game mechanics and design theory
- A knowledge of game mechanics and systems that are industry standard
- An interest in creating gameplay systems, mechanics and game modes
- Experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints
Responsibilities
- Work with designers, engineers and other creatives to develop the vision and improve compelling gameplay systems
- Write functional script Unreal Engine Blueprints that aligns with technical best practices
- Align and collaborate with multiple disciplines to promote the vision of gameplay features.
- Improve on features based on playtesting, design requirements, and creative direction

- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026.
- Communicate design ideas and requirements to non-designers

- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
