Tesla is seeking to enhance the quality of its after-sales documentation through accurate and detailed technical illustrations.
Requirements
- Proven track record creating illustrations with lighter-weight 3D authoring tools such as Keyshot or 3D via Composer
- Proficient in at least one CAD program (CATIA V5/V6/3DX, Solidworks, Autodesk, or similar)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite family of products, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to manipulate/edit existing exploded views and technical drawings and illustrations
- Experience building and maintaining a graphics/illustration library or working within a Content Management System (CMS)
- Automotive experience or familiarity highly preferred
- Proficient in CATIA V5/V6/3DX CAD data manipulation
Responsibilities
- Create accurate line drawings, renderings, and 3D animations assembled for step-by-step procedures, parts catalogs, and diagrams by manipulating CATIA V5/V6/3DX CAD data
- Work directly from photos or CAD to create high quality fully-rendered images, from concept to production using Adobe Creative Suite tools, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Manipulate/edit existing exploded views and technical drawings and illustrations
- Build and maintain a graphics/illustration library or work within a Content Management System (CMS)
- Deliver high quality Owner’s Manual, Service Manual, and support documentation for both internal and external consumption
- Create illustrations with lighter-weight 3D authoring tools such as Keyshot or 3D via Composer to create a variety of technical drawings, illustrations, exploded views, etc
- Closely work alongside subject matter experts and Technical Writers to deliver high quality documentation
