Leidos is seeking a summer intern to support the SMIT contract, which aims to deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. The goal is to unify shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while saving costs.
Requirements
- Enrolled in BS Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Equiv Eng program at an accredited college/university
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- US Citizenship required

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of automation processes.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and SQL, while utilizing the PyCharm IDE.
- Collaborate with the testing team to establish criteria for demonstrating functional automation software.
- Work with a geographically distributed remote team, closely coordinating with senior testing engineers to understand testing requirements and objectives to support the development and maintenance of processes, checklists, and procedures.
- Support Linux, Windows, and database solutions and analysis for the NMCI network.
