Credit Genie is looking to scale its infrastructure and lead the development of new financial products to help individuals take control of their financial future.
Requirements
- 7 to 10+ years of backend software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or senior individual contributor role.
- Strong background in building and scaling distributed, high-availability backend systems.
- Proficient in system design, data modeling, and API development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Deep understanding of secure coding practices, privacy standards, and scalable architecture.
- Experience working with products related to lending, credit cards, payments, or other financial services.
- Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems and financial technology
Responsibilities
- Lead by example by owning backend systems end-to-end, from architecture through deployment, and championing clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable code.
- Drive technical direction by making foundational architectural decisions and ensuring engineering excellence through best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, mobile engineers, and data scientists to deliver impactful, customer-focused features.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers, fostering professional growth and building a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
- Lead the design and development of greenfield projects, setting a strong foundation for future platform capabilities.
- Uphold high standards for testing, monitoring, observability, and DevOps workflows to ensure system reliability and developer productivity.
- Build systems with security and regulatory compliance in mind, ensuring robust data protection and privacy.
