Sun Country Airlines is looking for a Technical Lead, Software Development to ensure the development team has appropriate technical direction and guidance to ensure success, and to provide technical oversight for development efforts, aligning with commercial, operational, and technical expectations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Azure Functions, GraphQL, third-party APIs, .Net framework and C-Sharp.
- 5+ years with cloud computing platforms
- Expertise with CI/CD, version control systems, testing frameworks and/or testing best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct technical investigations
- Experience leading projects from start to finish
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical approaches and designs
- Experience collaborating with architects and developing design patterns
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners, Project Managers, and other business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Conduct technical investigations for new projects or features, identifying potential challenges.
- Document technical approaches, application changes, and designs.
- Collaborate with the application architect on larger efforts to develop or align with existing design patterns.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
- Provide daily technical guidance and mentoring to the development team, fostering growth and technical excellence.
- Perform hands-on development.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with demonstrated leadership skills and progressively increasing responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated attitude, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Highly detail-oriented
