Ford Motor Company is looking to build resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloud-native environments to redefine the transportation landscape and improve people's lives.

Requirements

  • In-depth expertise in core technologies, including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, messaging frameworks, container-based development (Docker), Elasticsearch, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), NoSQL solutions (Azure Cosmos DB or Cassandra), and event-driven architecture solutions like Kafka
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing projects using GCP Cloud computing technologies, database, Redis, Istio, Multi-Tenant, and Single Tenant
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub, Ready API, Terraform, Tekton, etc.)
  • Experience with microservice product architecture
  • Experience with cloud-native environments
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud technologies
  • Understanding of the testing pyramid

Responsibilities

  • Write APIs for dealer and consumer-facing flows, both web and mobile
  • Deliver solutions: consistent, optimized, resilient, documented, secure
  • Design and test efficient front-end and server-side solutions
  • Act as a technical lead and anchor to mentor junior engineers
  • Design, develop, and implement projects using GCP Cloud computing technologies, database, Redis, Istio, Multi-Tenant, and Single Tenant
  • Migrate legacy applications to modern cloud-based architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud technologies
  • Develop a suite of unit tests and API tests, and adopt a 'test-as-you-code' strategy
