TransUnion's Technical Product Management plays a critical role as the conduit between our Sales, Solutions, and Engineering organizations. Our Solutions team define the “what and why” requirements and the TPM role partners with Solutions and Engineering on defining and executing the “how” technical requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with 3 - 5 years in a technical or platform role in a similar domain
- Product Management Skills (including ability to guide new products through deployment)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Aha!
- Experience with synchronous APIs, caching strategies, and high-availability architectures
- Familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or Azure Data Factory
- Tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or New Relic to ensure uptime and performance.
- Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pulsar for real-time event ingestion and processing
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the vision and roadmap for product/platform capabilities (e.g., Credit, Marketing, Fraud / APIs, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, developer tools).
- Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to understand needs and translate them into platform features.
- Gather and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability needs.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of product/platform features - from ideation to launch
- Experience with synchronous APIs, caching strategies, and high-availability architectures
- Ensuring accurate and reliable event handling in fulfillment workflows
- Understanding of API security, secrets management, and runtime protection
