Google Public Sector is looking to accelerate digital transformations for United States public sector institutions, and they need technical program managers to help manage complex engineering projects and drive innovation within government and education.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, C/C++, Go, or Python.
- Professional level cloud certifications, including trainings or certifications in Scrum.
- Program management experience/certification.
- Ability to take an analytical and solution-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise.
- plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle.
- managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
- explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
- run Engineering-focused projects that are well-defined under supervision.
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience leading entrepreneurial efforts, outreach within organizations or project management experience through class projects, clubs, or internships.
- Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12-14 weeks outside of university term time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.
- This internship is intended for students in their penultimate academic year, who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree program Computer Science or related field.
- English proficiency is a requirement for this internship program.
