The Oregon Department of Corrections needs to ensure the accuracy and consistency of sentence calculations by identifying errors, providing technical assistance, and improving sentence calculation processes to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data for accuracy and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of administrative rules, policies, and procedures related to sentence calculations.
- Experience conducting quality control reviews and identifying discrepancies in data.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and training to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them accurately.
- At least two (2) years prior experience as a Prison Term Analyst
- Possess a Law Enforcement Database System (LEDS) Certification
Responsibilities
- conducting quality control reviews and interpreting administrative rules, policies, and procedures

- offer clear guidance on policies and procedures
- collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams and administrative staff, to enhance sentence calculation processes and ensure compliance with current regulations
- monitor policy effectiveness, recommend updates to improve procedures
- develop training materials to support accurate and consistent application of rules
Other
- This position is a job rotation anticipated to last 12 months, though may be extended or decreased due to business need.
- This rotation available for current regular status employees of the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Corrections Enterprises, or Oregon Board of Parole, Probation, and Post-Prison Supervision with their current manger's approval.
