Requirements
- Deliver robust prototype and production designs and technical risk mitigation plans

Responsibilities
- Lead the overall technical coordination of complex mechanical and automotive systems product development activities
- Be accountable for the project management of technical risk and quality of the product up to and including early production
- Integrate the requirements of interdisciplinary and cross-functional stakeholders of product development
- Obtain input and negotiate with program leadership, product engineers and technology teams to deliver robust prototype and production designs, technical risk mitigation plans, and coordinate deliverables of new or current product change activity
- Work extensively in the engineering processes of Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), and Current Product Support (CPS) using tools including Product Development Six Sigma (PDSS), iDFMEA, Voice of the Customer and Voice of Other Stakeholders (VOC/VOX), and project risk 9-box to support high quality decision making
- Perform product function modeling, simulation and analysis using tools and methods that predict the capability of a product’s function relative to its system, sub-system or component-level requirements
- Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which system designs are developed and establish acceptance criteria for the system of interest through analysis, allocation and negotiation as part of System Requirements Engineering

- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Technical Project or Product Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Technical Project or Product Engineer, or related position.
