Lila Sciences is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the effectiveness and reliability of their machine learning technology stack.
Requirements
- Familiarity with ML frameworks and data management tools, with a track record of optimizing technology stacks to support training data efficacy.
- Experience with AI experimental design and simulation, automated custom instrumentation, and generative molecular and material design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable project plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ML projects, ensuring the tech stack's stability, compatibility, and performance meet the organization's strategic goals.
- Oversee data processes, focusing on the quality and relevance of data collected for training purposes, helping to drive model accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement best practices for ML pipelines and data workflows, continually seeking improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce resource demands.
- Identify potential challenges within projects and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, maintaining project timelines and budgets.
- Develop detailed project plans, status reports, and documentation, ensuring transparency and communication across teams and with executive leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in ML technology, recommending upgrades or modifications to the tech stack as necessary to maintain competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project requirements with business needs and technical capabilities.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in project management within a technology or AI/ML-focused environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion on time and within scope.
- A proactive leader who can navigate complex technical environments and drive continuous improvement in ML technologies.
