Spectrum Control needs to ensure the consistent delivery of high-reliability electronic components to commercial and aerospace & defense customers, maintain compliance with quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in processes to resolve complex quality challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit boards, and associated manufacturing/inspection processes.
  • Experience working with aerospace & defense prime contractor quality systems and flow-down requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in RCCA, failure analysis, and problem-solving tools (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA).
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR).
  • Proficient in quality engineering methods, statistical analysis, and reliability concepts.
  • Industry certifications (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and auditing of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense quality standards, including AS9100, IPC, and contract-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate and maintain group qualification activities for parts in accordance with MIL-PRF-38534M requirements.
  • Supports RCCA investigations to resolve internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.
  • Support MRB activities by leading the disposition of nonconforming parts and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework using data-driven methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through data analysis and targeted quality improvements.

Other

  • 3–7 years of quality engineering experience in the electronics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance (if required by program or customer).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers.
  • High attention to detail, adaptability in dynamic environments, and commitment to continuous improvement.
