Emerson is looking for a Sales Specialist to provide technical and commercial support for hydrocarbon pipeline and terminal scheduling software solutions, aiming to exceed customer expectations and maintain industry leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience supporting the scheduling of pipelines or terminals
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to quickly learn and demonstrate complex software solutions.
- 5+ years of experience with scheduling systems (SaaS, ERP, CRM, analytics, AI, cloud platforms]. In must have
- Understanding of integrated systems such as ERP (ex. SAP), measurement systems (ex. Right Angle, nomination systems (ex. T4)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and commercial support for hydrocarbon pipeline and terminal scheduling software solutions.
- Partner with sales teams to engage clients, understand operational requirements, and demonstrate how the software addresses pipeline and terminal scheduling challenges.
- Deliver tailored software demonstrations (live or virtual) that highlight product capabilities and align with customer needs.
- Develop and configure demo environments to showcase solutions in realistic customer use cases.
- Respond to technical questions during sales engagements, including RFPs and RFIs.
- Assist in proof-of-concept (POC) projects by configuring and supporting trial implementations.
- Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams on customer requirements and market trends.

- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, business processes, and challenges
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating technical product features into business value.
- Stay current on product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Champion compliance with Ethics, Quality, and Trade policies
- Ability to travel 50% for customer engagements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
