In gTech Users and Products (gUP), the business problem is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. This involves meeting partners and consumers with support and help, representing their needs with product partners, and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. The Technical Solutions Consultant will design and implement technical solutions that drive insights from user data, optimize workflows, and improve the user experience across products, transforming business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • Experience working with Machine Learning and Generative AI applications (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition), applied ML techniques, or using OSS frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience in data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data management systems.
  • Manage and optimize bug tracking and feedback classification systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to existing data, tools, and workflows.
  • Explore and integrate new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance user insights capabilities, identifying and recommending creative ways to improve and automate solutions.
  • Understand and compare different ways to build and organize technical systems to recommend the best approach for gUP Gemini, Labs, and Research+ needs.
  • Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned project components, ensuring alignment and successful delivery.
  • Effectively communicate technical strategies, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Other

  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned project components, ensuring alignment and successful delivery.
  • Effectively communicate technical strategies, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
