ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) Division needs to improve the adoption, harmonization, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of engineering processes, technical training, product documentation, and knowledge management across all its product lines.

Requirements

  • Proven technical aptitude with the ability to work hands-on with complex equipment.
  • Experience creating and delivering training in multiple formats (virtual, instructor-led, microlearning, eLearning).
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methods (ADDIE, SAM, Agile).
  • Ability to audit, assess, and improve technical documentation.
  • LMS administration experience (uploading content, user management, reporting).
  • Proficiency in video production tools (e.g., Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Premiere) and/or ability to coordinate vendor-produced video content.
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar eLearning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deliver technical training programs for EAE products, leveraging existing content and selectively developing new materials for critical needs.
  • Adapt training for multiple formats, including virtual instructor-led, microlearning, and on-demand eLearning, with an emphasis on reducing reliance on in-person training.
  • Establish and refine training frameworks, partnering with engineers and SMEs for content creation while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the design, launch, and ongoing management of a technical knowledgebase.
  • Develop short-form learning content such as video tutorials, equipment demos, quick-reference guides, and process walk-throughs.
  • Film, edit, and produce videos in-house or coordinate with contractors/vendors to deliver professional-quality outputs.
  • Audit existing technical documentation, identify gaps and outdated materials, and coordinate with technical writers and SMEs for updates.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in delivering technical training for capital equipment, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a resource-limited environment.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
