Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for a Quality Technician III to perform in-process and final product verification, and support and maintain the Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Experience with measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing, materials, processing, and testing.
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office for record keeping and reports.
- Ability to read, follow customer drawings, process, and test instructions.
- Experience using an ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta preferred.
- Experience with ISO9001 preferred.
- Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills
Responsibilities
- Verify materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual, document review, and measurement tests.
- Utilize calibrated tools for piece part measurements.
- Utilize microscopes for visual verification.
- Read and understand technical and dimensional drawings.
- Review paperwork to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document results by completing reports, logs, and inputting data into quality database.
- Write non-conforming reports for materials out of specified parameters and track them to completion.
Other
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to wear the required Protective Equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals of all levels.
- Travel of 0-10% required
- U.S. citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3) required
