The Technology Product Analyst role is designed to bridge the gap between business needs, data insights, and technical execution for Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach, focusing on end-to-end product development and system integration.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Demonstrable experience with full-stack development using frameworks and languages relevant to our tech stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular, Node.js, Python, Java).
- Expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and other integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with product analytics platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with automated integration tools and working with data from third-party APIs.
- Familiarity with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication and encryption methods.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality features across the entire application stack, from front-end user interfaces to back-end services and database logic.
- System and Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of user behavior and system performance to identify product opportunities and pain points. Dive deep into complex datasets, investigate workflows, and uncover actionable insights to guide the product roadmap.
- Integration and API Development: Design, develop, and manage APIs and integration services to ensure seamless data flow between internal systems and with external third-party applications.
- End-to-End Implementation: Participate hands-on in the development and implementation phases, including performing unit and integration tests, debugging features, and automating test procedures. Own the delivery of product enhancements from concept to deployment.
- Requirements and Technical Specifications: Translate business needs and analytical insights into clear, actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for both full-stack development and integration tasks.
- Performance Monitoring and Experimentation: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key product metrics and evaluate performance. Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize product features and validate hypotheses.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the technical liaison between business and engineering teams. Present complex data findings and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, specifically regarding integration dependencies and full-stack architecture.

- Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements.
- This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department.
- Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working closely with engineering and product teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and findings to a wide range of stakeholders effectively.
