Revolution Medicines is looking for a Senior Research Associate to support early target discovery, screening, and validation efforts for novel oncology programs by utilizing a wide array of cellular and molecular biology assays and developing reagents to support validation of novel targets for RevMed’s unique molecular glue platform.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture techniques and manipulation of cells, including excellent aseptic technique.
  • Experience in microplate-based assay systems and operation of plate readers or microscopes.
  • Viral transduction and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing experience.
  • Familiarity with data processing and visualization tools for data analysis (e.g. GraphPad Prism) is preferred.
  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems and workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cellular and biochemical readouts including immunofluorescence, luminescence, cell viability, NanoBRET, ELISA, MSD, and flow cytometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct in vitro cellular assays (e.g. mammalian cell culture, Lentiviral Transduction, 2D and 3D cell culture, SDS-PAGE/Western blot, qPCR, CRISPR-based gene editing) and implement relevant assay readout technologies (e.g. Luciferase, CellTiter-Glo, TR-FRET/BRET, MSD).
  • Engineer cell lines and establish cellular assay models.
  • Maintain cultures of multiple cancer cell lines to support experimental efforts.
  • Generate high quality data in a timely manner and maintain detailed experimental records.
  • Work with project scientists to process and analyze data and design new experiments.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate findings at group meetings.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a cell biology/molecular biology role.
  • Highly organized, with excellent record-keeping, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • An energetic and proactive team player with the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic company environment.
