Tumi is looking for a Temporary Associate Technical Designer to support their design and development teams in translating designs into technical specifications and ensuring alignment with TUMI's standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- High Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, other Adobe software and 3D software Fusion 360.
- Experience in hardware design, with 3D modeling and rendering skills considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design presentations using Photoshop CADing of product for concept decks.
- Collaborate with designers to review and develop technical drawings for sampling, including creating detailed technical drawings in Illustrator.
- Manage specification changes, update technical drawings, and review confirmation samples in conjunction with designers and product developers.
Other
- 3 to 5 years of experience in technical design related to consumer products, including bags, small leather goods, or travel products.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- The role is based on site in our NYC office 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday.
