The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking to improve mathematics teaching and learning through the use of artificial intelligence and needs a Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects.
Requirements
- Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
- Previous research experience
- Foundational knowledge of mathematics education, artificial intelligence, and research methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data management and analysis: – Perform quantitative and qualitative data entry and coding.
- Support research activities: – Conduct literature reviews on research topics related to mathematics education and artificial intelligence
- Assist with dissemination and reporting: – Support the preparation presentations, and publications by summarizing research findings
- Provide project coordination: – Schedule and take notes during research team meetings.
- Conduct qualitative analysis under the supervision of senior researchers.
- Maintain detailed research records and organized files, upholding confidentiality and data security.
- Organize data with accuracy and integrity.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a research team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
