Brookfield Properties is looking to solve the business problem of managing and coordinating tenant projects within their retail portfolio, ensuring timely store openings and adherence to design criteria. The company aims to reimagine retail experiences by integrating shopping, dining, and entertainment, and this role supports that vision by contributing to the design and construction phases of tenant projects.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents is a plus.
- Knowledge of national building codes, building materials and systems (i.e. MEP), and life safety is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the Tenant Coordination team with daily administrative and project-related tasks.
- Track design and construction timelines from tenant prospect through store opening, with a focus on early openings.
- Assist with plan submittals, reviews, approvals, lease reviews, permitting, construction progress, and opening coordination.
- Review tenant signage shop drawings against company design criteria for coordinator approval.
- Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and research to support business needs.
- Organize, schedule, and manage confidential information and data.
- Other projects as assigned.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027, preferably with a degree focus in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take initiative.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills., creative, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a team environment.
