Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business needs to recruit students from Tennessee Tech for intern/co-op roles to contribute to technical projects and tasks, increasing internal efficiency and developing technologies adjacent to program needs.
Requirements
- Junior/Senior level college student majoring in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Systems Engineering with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Novice technical expertise and beginning familiarity with the shop/laboratory and equipment
Responsibilities
- Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
- Work independently on daily tasks
- Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation
- Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment
- Opportunities exist for candidates in the following areas: Test Program Set Development, Embedded Diagnostics, Electrical/Electronic Design, Test, and Integration, Windows, Linux application development, Embedded Programming, Software Engineering and Architecture, and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation and Test.

- These positions are for Tennessee Tech students.
- Intern Positions – Work 15 to 20 hours per week part-time while attending school, or full-time during Summer.
- Co-op Positions - willing to work a total of three full time semesters: alternating with full time school semesters
