Corning is looking to solve technical problems related to the design and characterization of fiber optics products by leveraging state-of-the-art experimental/theoretical skills.
Requirements
- Background in optics or optical engineering, Optical Metrology preferred
- Programming skills
- The candidate must have completed a minimum of two courses in Optics or Fiber Optics
Responsibilities
- Design, build and automate optical systems
- Develop and implement Labview software for measurement systems
- Develop tools for data analysis
- Document test methodologies and test results
- Develop and implement methodologies to optimize measurement performance
Other
- Must have Junior standing or above at the time of application.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
