Textron Systems is looking for a Test Engineering role to test and integrate new technology into their Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) products throughout the program lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and MagicDraw (or equivalent)
- Experience in a DoD environment and model based systems engineering
- Naval system experience according to military standards preferred
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio).
Responsibilities
- Testing and integrating new technology into our family of USV products throughout the lifecycle of the program.
- Leading a team of 2-4 test engineers including allocation and monitoring of daily tasking and overall responsibility for daily testing operations related to the program for which you are assigned.
- Executing test engineering tasks – including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, design review support, test planning, readiness reviews, integration, verification, test/failure review board management, risk management, and engineering analysis.
- Preparing and presenting test engineering work products – including (but not limited to) test plans, procedures, and reports to internal review teams and external customers.
- Working cross functionally with project management, project engineering, and engineering functional leaders to provide project planning for test activities, resource allocation requests, test metrics tracking, and test status.
- Serving as a resource to others within the department and the organization.
- Interacting daily with US Navy customers, program managers, planners, and technicians.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (software, electrical, mechanical, systems, or computer engineering) or physical sciences and a minimum 5 years of experience in a systems engineering or design engineering role required OR Master’s Degree in engineering or physical sciences with 3 or more years related experience.
- 2 years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred
- Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required
- Travel Required: 25%- 30% travel
- Effective writing and presentation skills.
