General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking to design, build, and maintain advanced submarines, and the Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) needs to provide Engineering, Design, and Logistics life cycle support to fleet submarines, Moored Training Ships, and the S8G Prototype, maintaining technical expertise for nuclear and non-nuclear propulsion plant systems and equipment to increase submarine Operational Availability and Capability.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Navy 3M Coordinator or knowledgeable of the Navy's 3M Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Experience with US Submarine configuration management processes
  • Experience in planned maintenance availability planning
  • Experience with the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) functionality
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office computer software applications and familiarity with computer network operations associated with the Naval Nuclear Power Program (e.g., Web ATIS, EBS)
  • Must be able to understand drawings and other technical documents including technical manuals and maintenance standards

Responsibilities

  • Establishing a class maintenance plan for Intermediate and Depot level maintenance
  • Maintaining the Organizational level maintenance plan
  • Issuing and tracking 3M technical feedback reports (TFBR) to the NAVSEA Logistics Center (NLSC)
  • Implementing Force Revisions resulting from TFBRs
  • Working with the S8G Prototype Maintenance Staff to ensure the work centers are compliant with 3M Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) standards
  • Developing and providing training to the S8G Prototype Navy and Maintenance Staff on 3M/PMR System administration
  • Assisting the S8G Prototype Maintenance Staff with maintenance planning, scheduling and other maintenance report submittals for availability work periods

Other

  • 5+ years of US Navy experience
  • Must hold or be able to hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance and security access to the DOE Kesselring Site facility
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or higher
  • Experience working in a private or Naval Shipyard
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
