Emerson is looking for a Test Engineer to design and implement software test systems to verify and validate world-class safety-critical measurement & analytical instrumentation that integrates with industrial automation equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
- An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Experience with related technologies and techniques (Microsoft Visual Studio, C, .NET application development, object-oriented design principles; SQL, JavaScript, requirements-based, and gray box testing)
- Interest and experience working with test systems
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to design and implement automated tests and test infrastructure.
- Participate in reviews of product requirements, test designs, and implementations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to help solve engineering challenges.
- Provide analysis for change requests considering the impact to product testing and schedule
- Support manufacturing of test systems by working with global manufacturing, troubleshooting issues, and deploying/maintaining test stations
- Create hardware that is robust with simple and functional user interfaces
- Develop & maintain supporting documentation (service manual, troubleshooting guide, etc.)
