General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking to solve the problem of ensuring proper operation of systems developed in an agile development process by hiring an Advanced Test Engineer to participate in the planning and development of test plans, test procedures and possibly test harnesses for systems of systems.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge and experience with test engineering concepts, principles and theories, system processes and scripting languages
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics
- Knowledge of agile development process
- Experience with test harnesses for systems of systems
- Experience with functional, operational, environmental, and/or performance tests on hardware, software and systems
- Experience with iterative, structured integration and testing in a lab environment
- Experience with system processes and scripting languages
Responsibilities
- Develop top-notch deliverable test plans and test procedures
- Conduct iterative, structured integration and testing in a lab environment on a scheduled, regular basis
- Interact with a wide variety of functional representatives during all phases of development
- Help troubleshoot and/or gather sufficient data to conduct troubleshooting of issues found
- Interact with customer representatives on a regular basis prior to and during formal testing events
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for integration, fielding and acceptance testing of hardware and software systems
- Document formal test results
Other
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
- 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree
- Strong written and oral communication skills
