The Air Force needs rigorous testing of software to ensure functionality, reliability, and user experience, and Booz Allen is looking for a test engineer to work with developers to release high-quality software.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with system testing methodologies and the system or software development life cycle (SDLC)
- 7+ years of experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, system integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing
- 7+ years of experience with Agile release methodologies, test automation, developing frameworks, or automated test scripts
- Experience with requirements-based software testing, traceability matrices, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions
- Experience with test methodologies, the Quality Assurance (QA) process, the software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking
- Experience with the creation and execution of test plans, test procedures, test cases, and test reports for functional, system integration, regression, acceptance testing, and analyzing testing results
- Experience with automation and cloud computing
Responsibilities
- Create a test plan with test cases based on user stories
- Generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs
- Document the results and communicate defects to the development team
- Work with engineers to evaluate software developed for the Air Force
- Use automated and manual processes to test software
- Write code to test software
- Broaden experience in large-scale systems and gain skills in new areas such as automation and cloud computing

- Must be willing to work on camera during interviews and assessments
- Must be willing to work in a remote or hybrid environment, with occasional work from a Booz Allen or client site facility
