Siemens is looking to develop, validate, and verify EV charging systems to ensure they meet performance, safety, and compliance standards, contributing to the future of sustainable transportation.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
  • Basic understanding of EV charging protocols and power systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation.
  • Exposure to EVSE or automotive systems testing.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or Ethernet.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Experience with or exposure to embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design and execution of test plans for EV charging hardware and software systems.
  • Setting up and maintain test environments including power electronics, communication interfaces (OCPP, ISO 15118), and vehicle simulators.
  • Performing functional, regression, and stress testing on EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment).
  • Documenting test procedures, results, and anomalies in a clear and organized manner.
  • Collaborating with design, firmware, and systems engineering teams to solve and resolve issues.
  • Supporting compliance testing for industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, SAE).
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of test processes and automation frameworks.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • 2+ years of experience in with electronics testing or validation.
  • Ability to execute tests as outlined by the test plan.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
