Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Test Engineer Co-op to support their Test Engineering Team at Abiomed, a JnJ MedTech company. The role will contribute to product development and quality engineering projects by conducting tests, analyzing data, and improving test processes and fixturing, ultimately impacting healthcare innovation.
Requirements
- Knowledge or experience with general engineering lab equipment (Instron, Keyence Microscope, 3D printer, multimeter, etc)
- Experience with SolidWorks preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and develop engineering tests as well as document test protocols and reports
- Conduct engineering tests for product development and quality engineering projects
- Design and qualify engineering test fixtures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, quality, and equipment design

- Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong testing, analytical, and engineering problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and also collaborate cross-functionally
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
- Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
