Vermeer seeks to confirm reliability standards expected of production units through instrumented and cyclic testing of engineering prototypes.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a soldering station, drill press, hand drill, hand tools and multi-meter.
  • Ability to conduct new product testing to disassemble test units and inspect components for defects and specification.
  • Ability to interpret test results to provide a conclusion from supporting data.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement sequence of testing and instrumentation procedures for test units.
  • Interpret test results and provide general conclusion with supporting data. Document accurate test results and testing procedures.
  • Justify test duration period, duty cycles, and methods for duplicating actual field conditions. Develop logical methods to accelerate testing where applicable.
  • Disassemble test units and inspect components for defects and/or specification.
  • Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.
  • Travel to the field to understand Vermeer equipment, conduct tests, and provide written reports.
  • May serve as Vermeer representative during the field testing process.

Other

  • 4-year college degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture or Electrical Engineering.
  • Or other 2 or 4-year college degree with a minimum of 4 years related experience.
  • Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
