Daikin Applied is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Test Engineering Intern to join their dynamic Engineering team to provide innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications
Requirements
- Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Experience with data acquisition, instrumentation, and NI LabVIEW
- Formal coursework in the areas of measurement systems, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and/or strength of materials
Responsibilities
- You will own your own project(s) with support from the Test Engineering team
- Contribute to technical project plans for new or upgrades to existing test equipment
- Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting issues with test cells, instrumentation, data acquisition software, and test units
- Develop HVAC and technical expertise
- Collaborate cross-functionally with test technicians and product engineers to accomplish testing
Other
- Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related major
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, preferred 3.5 or better
- Reside within a 300-mile radius of our Plymouth, MN office
