Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to support the NASA Sky Range development and missions, and to lead the Test Engineering Section in the development and operations stage of several new technologies that will enhance testing of new weapon systems across Atlantic & Pacific Test Ranges.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional work experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional work experience OR 4 years of related work experience with a PhD
  • Must have 2+ years of prior management or experience leading a team
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning and test execution
  • 3-5 years of flight test experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the NG Test Engineering Section supporting the NASA Sky Range development and missions
  • Assist NASA leadership in managing aircraft mods and operations of existing and expected future RQ-4 aircraft
  • Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for systems
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities working in a dynamic people-focused environment
  • Interface with internal and external customers
  • Help plan program mission support and assign NG employees to meet goals and priorities
  • Ensure that company and NASA policies and procedures are clearly defined and followed
